To ensure our students are well-prepared for the future of finance, we are launching a series of forward-looking updates to our MFin curriculum—effective from the 2026–27 academic year onwards—aligned with the rapid transformation of global financial markets.
Four Distinct Concentrations
Students can now customise their academic journey through four specialised elective tracks, including two newly introduced areas:
- Financial Analysis: Focus on corporate valuation and equity research
- Investment Management: Explore portfolio construction and asset allocation strategies
- Digital Finance (New): Cover FinTech, data analytics, and blockchain applications
- Green Finance (New): Dive into sustainable investing and ESG reporting
Strengthening the Core Curriculum
To further enhance foundational expertise, the core curriculum will expand from 10 to 12 credits. The inclusion of ACCT 5100 Corporate Reporting as a required course ensures that all students develop essential, practice-oriented financial reporting skills aligned with global professional standards.
Your Degree, Your Way
Recognising the importance of flexibility, the program offers three pathways for students to tailor their elective experience:
- Single Concentration:
Complete one concentration by taking four designated electives, along with five additional elective courses - Dual Concentrations:
Pursue up to two concentrations simultaneously. Each elective course will count toward only one concentration to ensure clear specialisation - General Pathway:
Graduate without a specific concentration by selecting any nine electives based on your personal interests and career goals
These enhancements empower students to shape their own academic and professional journey with greater flexibility and specialisation. We look forward to seeing how these new opportunities support your future success in the finance industry.
